Before I get into some random thoughts, I wanted to quickly share my last couple artworks I completed.
Latest Art

Here are some photos and commentary on artwork I've recently posted online. I may put scanned images in the Gallery at some point to be honest, these will probably remain as "behind the scenes" pieces.
I finally tried doodling on a page and then painting it. I wanted to do this because the style of my doodles or loose drawings is different to my painting or even my more polished drawings.

This definitely could be better - I don't think it's my best doodle, but it's a start. Definitely gave me ideas. In future, I might just transfer existing doodles into a painting, rather than doodle right onto the watercolour paper.
While I was finishing up the doodle painting, I also picked up this loose portrait practice I started ages ago. I was pretty over it and didn't want to go back to it, so I doodled/scribbled on that too.

This last drawing is my favourite. I didn't have an exact image in my head, just pieces. It was something I was trying to achieve in some previous doodles. For this one, I used no references - just drew the outlines then shaded as I had time. I'm almost definitely going to turn this into a painting.
There work in progress shots as well as at least one other drawing on my social media, if you want to see them.
Crafts
I don't record the process of my crafts because I see them as different from my artwork. It's not accurate to say they're more personal, as my art can be pretty personal. I'm not sure how to explain it - keeping my crafts mostly offline/not for sale keeps them fun and relaxing for me. That's not to say that my art isn't relaxing; the social media part definitely is NOT relaxing (I hate it) but other "business" type tasks I find sort of fun. I like being organised and planning projects.
Anyway, the point is, I thought I could share a bit more on this blog, if people were interested.
Reviews
I have this idea in my head that one day I'll make Good Reads and Letterboxd accounts so I can record the books and movies I consume. If I had a bunch of money and huge amounts of money and time, I'd like to study film theory and things like that, but specifically for horror media.
I'm not sure if I'd be good at writing reviews, but if I made those accounts I might do longer analysis here on the newsletter. Would people be into that?
Though, that would be even more time consuming and I feel I'm barely managing this as it is!
Next year
I've said it before, but I have a TON of art ideas, business ideas, shop ideas, whatever. This year has been up and down, and now things are settling down I can really only focus on an upcoming trip.
Next year, my focus will be my wedding (I want to do a bunch of DIYs for it!). That means, I still won't be getting far with any art/business stuff, BUT I did wonder if people would be interested in some of the DIYs.
And THEN, maybe, I'll finally do all the things. To be fair, it's not like I've abandoned everything - I did do some book covers earlier in the year, and I've still done some drawing and paintings. I'll do some planning in the background next year too.
Anyway, I feel like this is just yet another newsletter. I definitely would like to hear what people want to see my write about.

I am definitely interested in seeing your crafts and DIYs!
